The Struggle Continues…

By Marlene McBean

Are there times while in church, you feel rejected and unloved? People look down on you and take you for granted, being judged by your past?  People lay in wait for you to slip up because it was the norm for you to be in and out of church. So now God has called you and he is fixing you up for his glory but they are skeptical of using you in church. The struggle continues.

As a matter of fact they will go to the extreme to determine your faith. All they see you for is only what you can do and not as the person God has called you to be? There are times when your own friends think the worst of you? It’s all about them, so they don’t care how you feel? The struggle continues. What about those times when you can’t even be yourself around people?

You have to be walking on egg shells and you distant yourself just to have that peace within you and with them. All you try it seems as if it is not working out. Be mindful, you’re in church this time seeking God, living, making sure that you are doing the right things and all these things are happening to you. The struggle continues.  Where do you find peace? Do you give up?

Now this is the work of the enemy, you’re in spiritual warfare.  The enemy sees how God wants to use you so he has to do everything in his power to try and stop you. The enemy doesn’t have a home so he’s always looking for a body to use so he uses the one that is available for use. 1 Peter 5vs 8 says “be sober, be vigilant…. devil is like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour”.  Careful not to give in to him and his tactics.

Again, the bible says in Ephesians 6 vs 12 “we wrestle not against flesh and blood…. ” So it is simply saying that we are not fighting against each other, you’re fighting against the enemy and his tactics. In order to win, again in verse 13 of Ephesian 6 says “put on the whole armor of God…..” It didn’t say some, it say the whole that means all.  In order for us to overcome our struggles we have to be fully clothed.

Look it’s not going to be easy because some of these hurt come from the head of the church, the people you trusted most and even family members. Just telling like it is and it’s no joke. Do not let your struggles define you, it’s a part of growing, finding yourself and finding your rightful place in God. It will be hard at times but God is in control of everything and your everyday life. Act 17-28 “in him we live….” The struggle is real.

Have a blessed day ….more to come
