Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Isaiah 41:10  Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Being strong and courageous – trusting in God as the source of our strength. You may not have all the answers to the challenges we face, all we need to do is exercise our faith in knowing that God can and will take care of us. 

This scripture is telling us that wherever we go and whatever we do, we do not need to be afraid of anyone or anything if we hold the peace of God in our hearts. Instead, we can move courageously forward in an uncertain world remembering and believing that God is with us.

So in our walk with God, Let us constantly remind ourselves that no matter what we face God is with us. When we go through our darkest times and it seems that God is not there or when we feel alone and that no one cares, we have someone to talk to , someone to lean on. God will give us a word or a song. He will even comfort us by sending someone our way to bless us with a word or even a smile. Regardless of the situation try and be strong and courageous because God is with you.

Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

A refuge is a place of safety and shelter wherein we are protected from danger and distress. One illustration of a refuge is that of a shelter in which we take cover during a storm. In Old Testament times, a cleft in the rocks or cave was a good refuge.

Taking refuge in God means feasting on the abundance of His house and drinking of His delights. As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him. As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him. Be strong and courageous.
