The word from the Lord is ” come walk with me, the way is straight and narrow.  Come walk with me, you cannot walk alone, for the road is rough and there are many dangers. Come walk with me and I will see you home.” This word is not just for non-Christians. The Lord is saying to us that we cannot make it on our own. He is there to guide us through our journey.

He’s assuring us that we are never alone.  Even though there are many obstacles along the way, He will walk alongside us if we walk with him. He knows we cannot make it by ourselves. His hands are outstretched to receive us, to shield us from the dangers of this world.  Right now in this world everything is so uncertain. One thing though is certain, Jesus is coming back and we are to be ready to meet him. “PREPARE TO MEET THY GOD.”

John 14 vs 6 Jesus is saying that he is the way, the truth and the life. It states no one can come to the father except through him. Notice He didn’t say I am that way or I am a way. He says “I am the way.” This means He is the only way to salvation, he is the only way by which we can live. He said I am the truth… our attitude towards the truth determines the outcome of our lives. If we resist the truth, we resist salvation. Let us love and embrace the truth, we will receive the reward…the crown of eternal life.

There is no greater blessing than to walk in the truth. The truth sets us free from the bondage of sin John 8vs32. When we accept the truth we’re transformed from who we are by nature. The life of Jesus will be manifested in us. He says I am life…this is not talking about the life we now live, but life after death.  “Eternal life.”  He’s giving us a better way to live our lives through him. Following him daily in faith, he will lead us to a better, richer, more meaningful life. It would be a life we could ever find on our own.

We can live this life in such a way that we’re not chasing after things that don’t last. It is best to chase after things that last and have an eternal significance.  Let us think about this life that Jesus is offering, grab it because it the only way to eternity. Jesus is the only way where by man can be saved…”PREPARE TO MEET THY GOD.” Amos 4:12
