With all that is going on in this world today, the fear of catching Covid19, the fear of dying, the depression, and fear of the unknown. The question is asked will we ever come out of this? Nowadays many prophets are rising up saying all sorts of things, but are they really true? Social media is saying one thing and the preachers are saying another thing. But whose report do you believe?
This is so confusing. Everyone is wondering what their life will be in another year from now. How long will this pandemic last? Families cannot get together as they would love to, Church doors cannot open as they would love to, and people are being slaughtered and children are being abducted. The hearts of men are desperately become more wicked than before, everything is just chaotic. Let us stay anchored!
The government thinks they have a solution to the pandemic in the vaccine and still everyone is fearful in taking this. Church leaders don’t know what to tell their congregation because they are fearful, they don’t believe. Others don’t believe. The government cannot help. The truth is, only Jesus can help. You better believe this. As Christians, we have to be anchored in the truth, so as to bring hope to the unbelievers. In order for us to be at peace we have to trust in the Lord….Proverbs 3:5 we have to have faith in God… Mark 11:22
To be anchored means a firm foundation, tight security. The Anchor represents Faith in God which keeps us steadfast and gives us hope during this time of hopelessness Hebrews 6:19 … This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil.”
The anchor of truth does not arise from within ourselves, but is mediated to us from above by Jesus (Hebrews 8:6). The truth originates from outside of ourselves. More than that, this truth is unchangeable and eternal (1Peter 1:25). It is external, eternal, absolute truth.
Our anchor of truth is made and guaranteed by Jesus Christ the Son of God. Nobody makes an anchor like him. John 8:32 the truth shall make us free from fear, unbelief and everything we face. Do we know the truth though? The truth is in the word of God and by accepting Him and reading His word we can be anchored in the truth. Then we will not be fearful of anything. When we are anchored in Jesus, we cannot fear death, we will be caught up to be with our savior.
Many may not agree with me, but I say whether you take the vaccine or not you are going to die, if you catch the virus or not you going to die and this is the truth. The question is “Where will you spend eternity?” So, I encourage you today, make God the priority of your life, believe his report, and focus on the one who can solve the problem and not the problem and Stay Anchored in the truth.
