Many Christians even unsaved will say, when you ask them, that Jesus Christ is the King in their lives. We need to ask ourselves is he in control of our lives? Is he the host of our lives? Do we act like Jesus is the guest in our life? Do we have ultimate authority of our life? Let’s think about these questions. Who is your King?
If we are in control of our relationship with Jesus, then we’re acting like the King. We are taking his crown. So, again the question would be ,who is your King? He has the ultimate authority of our lives as long as we let him. When Jesus is the King of our lives, we are Royalty and we live Holy as joint heirs with him. We are above and not beneath, the head and not the tail.
So, if we are risen with Christ who is our King, set our effectives on the things of him or that which concerns him (Colossians 3vs 1-2). We should be constantly focusing on the King. As the King we must reverence and worship the Him. We must always stay in his presence and do his will. Ephesians 6 vs 6 doing the will God from our hearts and not with eye service.
This saying that we must do what our King command us to do from our heart and not just look on. We cannot do his will by just being an onlooker we have to take action. He that is dead (born again) is free from sin. (Romans 6 vs 7) as soon as we’re born again we’re being set free from the bondage of sin because Jesus paid it all on Calvary….what a Love!
So as we ponder these words in our hearts, let King Jesus take authority over our lives and rule. Let him direct our path. If you’ve not yet given him a chance in your life, now is the acceptable time to do so. With all that is going on, only Jesus can save us. So accept him today, and get the gift of eternal life, the gift of peace and strength to overcome your obstacles. Have a blessed night and may the God of peace cover you in Jesus’s name.
