So there is a question, who wants to answer? Lets say you are having a relationship and your spouse is not fully committed to you. Most times he or she does things and is forgiven. Yet they do things over and over again and the same thing keep happening… wow, how long will you wait?
You begin to get tired and weary of the situation. You start feeling depressed, frustrated and start thinking about how long you are going to wait. Maybe at some point you even start giving up saying, I’m tired of this relationship, this is unfruitful. Some may give up and some start cheating.
In this scenario, God wants to have a relationship with us. We take pleasure in all the things that distract us, the things of the world. He loved us so much that Christ gave his life for us…John 3 vs16. He forgives us every time we sin and guess what? He already paid for our sin for us. What an awesome God he is! How long will he wait?
This is just a synopsis of what he has done for us. Time is running out, He is pleading to have a relationship with you. Are you willing and ready? How long will he wait? He says seek you first the kingdom and all things shall be added…Matthew 6 vs 33. He said if you seek me you shall find me. Isaiah 55 vs 6. His arms are outstretched waiting on you for you to give him a chance to change your life.
If you make that decision today, you don’t have to get it right, he said come unto me and I make your crooked path straight. He will fix your habits, your shortcoming, or your addictions. All God is asking for is a willing vessel. Be willing to change and serve him in spirit and truth and he will do the rest.
The songwriter states “there’s not one broken vessel that God cannot mend.” Bring everything to him, you just have to make that first step and don’t let him wait any longer. “How long will he wait, ARE YOU READY?”
