The Writing on Faith

God’s word.

God’s Word is one of the greatest faith builders. When you see how He worked in the lives of others it should help to strengthen your confidence in His power. So keep in the Word of God even when you don’t understand it. Memorize scripture to counteract your doubts and the seeds the enemy tries to sow in your mind. Prayer is another tool.

Let it punctuate and saturate your life. It is said sincere prayer is the key that unlocks Heaven’s storehouse. Also, learning to wait patiently on God as a result of facing difficult situations is key. Understanding that He works in His own time and way is pivotal.

It comes through humbling yourself under His mighty hand and believing all things are possible. Seek also to have people in your life who help you grow in your knowledge of the things of God. Seek out the true stories of people in your contemporary situation who have proven God for themselves. Give your testimonies and look for the small ways in which God shows His faithfulness to you and always give thanks to Him. He works wonders for those who have grateful hearts.

We were created for two main things: to worship and praise Him and bring glory to His name by mainly obeying his commands. God doesn’t feel obligated to work best in the lives of those who are disobedient and rebellious as well as unthankful. Submission to His will is key. Learning to listen to His voice for yourself comes through constant

communion with Him. Even if you don’t hear Him speak in one way, look out for His leading in many other ways. Learn to recognize His workings in your life by always measuring it against His Word. His leading will never contradict His will, Word and way. Ask for situations which exercise your faith and trust Him that you will not be tested and tried beyond your ability to cope. Knowing this no matter how hard the road helps you rest in Him. And resting in Him is an act of faith.

There are no shortcuts to having the faith that moves mountains. The last thing I will say is to prove Him in your giving. There is never anything we can give. No matter how small, find someone who is in need and give knowing God is true to His Word when He says “Cast thy bread upon the waters and thou shalt find it after many days.” Generosity in building and replenishing God’s Kingdom by giving is a great faith builder. Remember to also be kind to those who have benefitted you even in some small way. Remember it was said, “It is

more blessed to give than to receive.”  Give also of your time to doing good works because your faith will grow in proportion to your acting in faith and stretching yourself beyond your abilities. Faith is active and alive. You are always required to EXERCISE it.

So keep these things in mind and meditate upon them and practice them for your whole life and I know your faith will grow. Don’t give up. God loves you and wants what’s best for you. These are things I had to learn and am still learning. Finally, I leave you with a scripture: “Without faith, it is impossible to please God. For he that cometh to Him must believe that He is and is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.”

Let us know how this has helped you. Serving God is a lifetime journey. Give yourself time and space to grow. He is committed to your good.
