The Power Of Respect

Relationships whether socially or otherwise and especially one that has gone through its fair share of storms shows the power of respect. I am also sure that you have realized that respect for your spouse or friend has helped to calm many a situation. This is so relevant especially for those of us who are still in school and even at the workplace.

Talking respectfully to your spouse, friend or with a business partner brings out the best in both parties. It helps to create solutions and thus enable visions to be realized. The lack of respect in how you communicate would only breed controversy, fear and more disrespect. This I am sure you must have experienced or seen. If you have not, then you would have learnt it here.

Respect is a feeling of deep admiration for someone or something elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements.

Having respect helps you to look beyond flaws and issues that would have normally placed a roadblock in your way. These roadblocks would be quarrels or arguments along with malice which would hinder growth.  Respect and not just love allows you to deal with issues in a way that brings to you a sense of peace and comfort. It helps you to make the necessary compromises that will keep your relationships.

Your level of respect helps you to stay away from things that you know would hurt your relationships. These relationships are not just subjected to personal ones but also business relationships as well. Mutual respect in business helps to keep professionalism at its highest-level making businesses more respectable and with their integrity intact. This follows true in your relationships as respect here restrains you from hurting your spouse selfishly.

Respect goes both ways and the more of it we have the better our society will be for all types of relationships.
