THE DECEITFUL ENEMY

By Marlene McBean

The Bible says we wrestle not against flesh and blood…. so when we go through our day to say life we ought not to fight against each other we ought to know that we’re fighting against the enemy and as we know that he doesn’t have anywhere to lodge so he finds a body that’s available and work in.  So if we allow him then he’ll take over our body and cause us to war against each other. Nowadays you find families fighting against each other, church members at each other’s throat.  This ought not to be so we have to be aware of Satan’s strategies against us and take authority.

Believe it or not we are at war as soon as we give our lives to the Lord . We can become victims of the enemy.  Our guard has to be up.  We have to be able to tell the difference between the voice of God or Satan. We need to know the most important strategies that he uses.

One of his strategies is the He lies and deceive us. Knowing how he thinks what he loves what he expects, what he wears, what upset him, his association is apart of Knowing him. We shouldn’t be ignorant of his devices 2 Corinthians 2 vs 11.As followers of Christ, we have access to the Holy Spirit, if we don’t have it then we need to ask for it. The Holy Spirit guides us into the word of God which is our defensive weapon of warfare. If you happen to believe his lies or fall in deceit,  don’t be upset with yourself. It might seem as if you’ve lost the battle but during this times God will turn it around for your good Romans 8 vs 28.

When you’re called by God, you’ll never fail him because everything will work in your favor. Satan’s job is to constantly whispers lies in your ear. Don’t believe them because he has always been a liar and there is no truth in him John 8vs 44 One example of his lies is in Genesis where he tempted Eve Genesis 3 vs 4-5 if you tell a Lie and keep on repeating it people will believe  you.  It’s in our nature to believe a lie especially when we keep on hearing it.

We need the gift of discernment to discern truth.  We need wisdom for the truth is of scarce commodity in these times. Lying is one of Satan’s most used strategy to deceive us human beings.  He knows how insecure we are so he attacks us especially when we’re at our lowest. He also lies to us about our relationship with God. It’s like his favorite sport which earns him the title of the deceiver.

He doesn’t have to think he just acts. We ought take a stand against his lies, stop listening and agreeing with him. He will make you feel like a failure, insufficient but here are a few scriptures you can use when he attacks: John 15 vs 9,14 &15.

It’s important for us to know who we are a whose we are in Christ.  We are not servants, we are sons and daughters of Christ.  We’re ambassadors for Christ. We ought to know that we are precious in his sight. The enemy will lie to us saying that we will never succeed in life, yes we have the answer for him in Philippians 4vs 19..”but my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory.

Satan uses others to speak against us but we can fight back with Matthew 5 vs 11&12 Satan will make you fearful but tell him…(Psalm 23 vs 4 and Isaiah 41 vs10). Fear is one of Satan’s lies. He knows when we begin to fear we panic and He eventually gains control over our lives.  We must give our cares to the Lord before they become fears.
