When was the last time you took the time out to link with those persons who you believe are important to you? Did you talk to your mother or father lately? Can you recall the last time you gave your siblings a call even if it just to say hi? Are your friends really important to you? If they really are when was the last time you gave them a call? Can you remember the last time you gave them a visit? Of course, this might not be a good idea because of Covid19 but the link can still be made. When are we going to realize that life changes in the blink of an eye so it is important to keep your relationships strong.

Far too often because of our reluctance to do the things we need to do to keep our relationship alive they die. They don’t just only die on an emotional level but there is also physical death. Sometimes the persons who you should have been in contact with dies. When this happens then all we have is regret. There is always the saying” if only I had known I would have…….” We need to remember that God’s timing on our lives is not ours. We do not have a clue when our time on this earth will end. We therefore need to live each day like the last (Ecclesiastes 7:2).

Just recently I spoke with someone who I believe would live for a long time. I saw this person as strong, assertive and powerful. We did not talk much but there was a bond. It wasn’t long ago I heard that “she has left us”. I found it tragic because I never expected it. There was no clue that this person was even ill. Today let us “link up” those persons in our lives that we deem important. Let us show them that love is an action word and not just spoken words.
