He might not be known by many in Jamaica but Youthlove had the privilege of reaching out to an International reggae artist with a true Artistic vibe. He is a singer a composer and an author. His style is unique and his sound is deep and truly of Jamaican vibe. He is known as Hosny Bronx. His connection with Jamaica rings true as most of the mastering and mixing of his new album was done between Kingston Jamaica and Paris and this can be vividly heard in the quality of the reggae beats uttering from the instruments.
The song that reached out to us at Youthlove, however, was the song called “Dance as a Lion”. It spoke of protecting humanity and it did not speak to any specific people or nation. It spoke of everyone. The world needs peace and the world needs love and this can be seen especially when we have to be dealing with racism, poverty, disease war and anger. In this time of the Covid 19 pandemic, we also need love so we can take care of each other even though we have to social distance.
There is a loud cry from his lips for us all to dance in love and to use the real reggae to do so as we strive to ‘protect humanity’. The fact that he sees the threat of what could hurt our world and sings about it without fear shows how radical and firm he is in his belief on a spiritual level and a societal one as well.
His album New moment is also one that needs an ear as it speaks to the world hypocrisy. This takes with it a strong message meant for all to hear.
