What Does Our Mirror Reflect?

Why do we reflect our companions?

We may ask ourselves why we act like the people around us at times.  We  spend time with our  friends and others will say how similar  we become. This is one reason why they would say “Show me your company and I will tell who you are”   We would notice that we talk alike, we like the same things and our mannerisms are the same.  The reason for this is simple:” we are mirrors at times. “

We should be reflecting Jesus

A mirror is made to reflect whatever its facing.  As long as it is not covered, it reflects the object in front of it.   Human being are similar,  we reflect what we see. We are given  a power secret to Christian life.  It clearly states that we must reflect Jesus, when people sees us they must see the Christ that lives in us. Like mirrors,  we are always reflecting something . Maybe a book,  favorite television show or something we spend our time observing. It is automatic that whatever is in us it’s what we reflect

The Mirror Should Reflect Truth

In Galatians 2 vs 20 Paul says” I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live but Christ in me.  Therefore,  once we are saved, we’re dead to sin and are now living a new life in Christ.  The mirror of God’s word shows us the truth. We are what we do, where we live, how we look,  what we wear,  what we drive and what others say we are.  “This is not true!” you know wee are  children of God created in his image.  We are valuable because God lives in us and we are a chosen generation. We are remarkable in the sight of God and he thinks of us really matters.

Spend more time with Christ

The more we spend time to behold the Christ who live in our spirit,  the more we’re infused with him. Christ increase in us and a  gradual transformation of our being takes place. When this happens we can reflect him. Our friends and families will see the change in us even if they cannot pinpoint the source of the change. We ourselves may not even see the change because it is not self improvement or our own effort. As mirrors we do not have to do much, we simply turn our hearts to behold the Lord and we’ll reflect him.
