W. H. Davis said “what is this life, if full of care, we have no time to stand and stare” . This is in fact true as we tend spend so much time working and so little time appreciating life. We need to take some time and do the things that we love so that we can appreciate life.
Hussle and bustle
Life as we know it is always filled with the hustle and the bustle in an effort to make the money we need so that we can be comfortable . This is in fact what is needed in this world but let us not forget what the good book said as it relates to this. In St Matthew 6:26 it states Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
We need to therefore take some time for ourselves because it further stated in verse 25…”Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?” This means that we do need to take some time for ourselves and enjoy what we have been given.
Life and its challenges
Life will always have its challenges and it will always be filled with personal dreams and aspirations however we need to remember that our friends and loved ones are important. We should therefore find time to spend with them. we can go to the beach, or go on a hike , go to the river or just take a road trip to enjoy our environs. Do not take life for granted as we continue to hunt the dollar.
Take some time and smell the roses. Spend time with those we call friends and our family today. Let us not say ,”if we had known”. Take some time now!
Spend time with love ones
Let us choose to spend more time with the ones we love. These persons may include our mothers, fathers ,sisters or brothers those individuals who we have not been spending time with. They could include our children ,wives and husbands. This attitude of all work and no play can lead to relationship issues that may not be able to be fixed so let us take some time.
